Elm Street School is a dual track school, providing instruction in both English and French Immersion. We have approximately 400 students in Grades K to 6, an instructional staff of 34 teachers, 20 educational assistants, 1 youth worker, and 1 student attendant.
Because of our French Immersion program, we serve a large geographic area, from Richmond in the west to New London in the east.
The school was built in 1960 but underwent a major renovation and expansion which included the addition of several classrooms, a new gymnasium, and updated special education, and library areas.
If you have the opportunity to visit our school, we hope that you will find it bright and welcoming. We are fortunate for an urban school to have a very large green space containing play equipment and sports fields for all ages.
