Principal Update (2026 - 2027 School Year)
Elm Street School would like to share an important leadership update for the upcoming school year. As previously shared with families, Ms. J will be taking a one‑year leave of absence for the 2026–2027 school year.
We are pleased to welcome Klasina Driscoll to the Principal role. Klasina is currently Vice‑Principal at Gulf Shore School and brings experience from several Summerside schools in a variety of roles. She also has a strong connection to the Elm Street Elementary community, as her children attended the school in previous years.
Planning for a smooth transition will continue over the coming months, and Klasina will visit Elm Street before the end of June to meet students and staff.
Ice Cream Sales
Our ice-cream sandwich fundraiser will continue for another 10 weeks starting April 1st and running until June 3rd. Money ($2) will be due every Wednesday, or you can pay for multiple weeks at a time ($20 will cover all 10 weeks). This fundraiser helps cover the cost for the Grade 6 end-of-year trip to Magic Mountain and Montana's, and we're well on track to reach our goal!
School Spring Clothing Order
Order forms will be sent home with students, or available in the office. The deadline for all orders is MONDAY, MAY 4th, 2026. Clothing sizing samples will be available at the Book Fair Family Night on Wednesday, April 15 from 2:45 p.m. - 5:00 p.m., or by emailing Ms Coulson at vkcoulson@edu.pe.ca to arrange a time. We are offering hoodies, tshirts, long sleeve shirts, shorts and trucker hats! The order form is attached! Elm Street Spring Clothing Order.pdf
***Please note: the long sleeved shirt is NOT offered in light pink, this was an error! Ms Coulson apologizes for any confusion.
Eagles Nest Library
Our library has a new website!
You can take a peek at our Eagles Nest Library to see what’s happening in our library and use some of the reading tools like our digital library collections.
One important item of interest is the Book Orders section. Digital flyers are available for viewing under the Book Order tab on the website. Families can follow the link to create an account and use the class code, and Ms Coulson will place a monthly order. Books will then be delivered to the school.
