School Clothing
It’s school clothing order time again! We are once again selling Elm Street hoodies, long sleeved shirts, tshirts, sweatpants and winter hats for this order. All prices are on the order form. Grade 6 students can add the “26” with class signatures to the back of their item for an additional cost. There will be some items on display during Parent/Teacher interviews outside the office.
All order forms and money (cash or cheque made out to Elm Street Elementary) are due to the school on NOVEMBER 24, 2025. Please send completed order forms and money to your child’s teacher. We are doing our best to have orders back in time for Christmas, but there are no guarantees.

STEAM PEI
STEAM PEI is organizing a French educational camp on Friday, November 21st in Summerside!
Children will be able to explore the exciting theme of wild animals through hands-on and inspiring activities. Get ready to ROAR with excitement! On this wild animal PD Day, kids will dive into the animal kingdom like never before. Through creative art projects, brain-tickling quizzes, and hands-on fun with 3D frog puzzles, we’ll explore all sorts of creatures, from scaly reptiles and slippery amphibians to fuzzy mammals and fascinating invertebrates. It’s a full day of learning (8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.), perfect for curious animal lovers!

Vision Programs
Prince Edward Island offers two programs for school-aged children: the Program for Elementary Eye Care (PEEC) for grades 1-6, which covers annual eye exams and up to three pairs of glasses per child, and the Eye See… Eye Learn Program for pre-kindergarten and kindergarten, covering one eye exam and one pair of glasses if needed. To be eligible, children must be enrolled in a PEI school and have a valid PEI Health Card. Registration for PEEC is required online through the Government of Prince Edward Island website.
Program for Elementary Eye Care (PEEC)
- Eligibility: Children in grades 1 to 6 with a PEI Health Card.
- Coverage: Annual eye exams and up to three pairs of glasses if needed.
- Registration: Required online via the Government of Prince Edward Island website.
- Program ends: When the child completes grade 6 or moves out of PEI.
Eye See… Eye Learn Program
- Eligibility: Pre-kindergarten and kindergarten-age children.
- Coverage: One free eye exam and one free pair of glasses if needed.
- Details: Some optometrists may charge extra fees for certain scans, so it's best to ask about potential costs when booking an appointment.
Kindergarten Registration
Kindergarten Registration for the 2026-2027 school year has started!

Register Your Child For School | Government of Prince Edward Island If you have a child that will be starting Kindergarten next year, please ensure you visit the school to register your child! You need to bring proof of address (e.g. a phone bill) and proof of your child’s age (e.g. health card). Please drop by the school that you are zoned for to register your child!
Finding Nemo Jr. Musical
Rehearsal Schedule for the next few weeks is as follows:
- November 18, 2:45-4:00 – FULL CAST – Run through of scene 1, Blocking for Scene 2
- November 25, 2:45-4:00 – Marlin, Dory, Bruce, Chum and Anchor, shark ensemble, fish friends – Run through scene 2 (Dory’s Ditty and shark encounter), blocking for Scene 3
*Please remind students to listen carefully to the announcements every day to know if they are scheduled for a rehearsal during big recess.

As shared last week, our Christmas concert will be on Thursday, December 11 (storm date will be Friday, December 12). We will have the K-3 concert at 9:15 a.m. and the grade 4-6 concert at 11:15 a.m. Could each parent send in a battery-operated candle labeled with your child’s name for them to use at the end of the concert!
